Computer Usage at Open Book Library
At Open Book Library we offer computer and internet usage to our members but there are some important things to know and remember before you get started.
Bookings can be made in half an hour blocks, for up to two hours per day, per member.
The library is not responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to data or devices while using the computers.
Downloading large quantities of data is not permitted.
Please use headphones if you are accessing any audio/visual content.
Be mindful and respectful of other library users.
No food or drink to be consumed at computers.
Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Internet Use - The library is not responsible for content found on any external resources.
Do NOT download or install any software onto library computers.
Save your work! Any unsaved data or data saved directly to computer will be lost.
Please ensure you save your data to either a USB, a program such as Onedrive or email it to yourself.
Printing is available via a shared network printer and printed on paper supplied by the library and is charged accordingly.
Booking a computer is acknowledgement and acceptance of the conditions of use.
Non- library members are permitted to use the computers but must complete and sign(must provide identification) the booking sheet acknowledging the conditions of use.
